What it is

In Spirit of Diwata, you heal the world and never harm anything in it. Calm creatures by playing an instrument. Every creature nearby gets better if it hears you. When you heal a creature all the way, take it to a spirit house to make a bond. Now the instrument can call its spirit to help you. Three of you travel through an Asian fantasy world drawn from Buddhist traditions of care and offering, on one shared screen, in the same room or across the world.

Features

  • You heal, never harm

No player action deals damage. Calming, healing and soothing are one and the same. This is not a difficulty setting or a pacifist route. There is no combat system underneath.

  • Three players, one screen

Each seat is local or online independently, so one session can be couch play, online play, or both at once. Players drop in and out at any time. Anyone arriving mid-scene watches until there is room, then joins.

  • Built for people who do not play games

A child, a parent, a grandparent. No combos to memorize, nothing asks for split-second timing, and there is depth for anyone who wants it.

  • No hurry

Progress happens when the party travels, not on a real clock. There are no timers, daily logins or energy systems. A player can leave for a month and come back to nothing withered.

  • Somewhere to rest

The Inner Garden is a shared, meditative space that grows with the party. Bonded spirits gather there and begin to speak, in fragments at first and in whole sentences as trust builds.

  • Drawn from Buddhist traditions of care

At spirit houses, the party can brew tea for each other, burn incense, and leave food out for whoever wanders by. Giving here asks nothing back.
